The Brooklyn Heights Cinema opened it's doors in June of 1970. It was the oldest and longest running independently and locally owned and operated cinema (remaining) in New York City.

Located in historic Brooklyn Heights, steps away from Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Brooklyn Bridge and the views of the Promenade. Two 150 seat theaters rotated two or three films... art house, foreign and independent titles.

An unbelievably cool concession offers a cappuccino bar, cookies from Downtown Cookie Company, in addition to fresh popcorn with real butter, soda and a collection of fun candy. We even served up a Brooklyn egg cream and chocolate cokes!
